Customizing factor weights
Different apps, different audiences, different priorities. Here's how to tune weights per app.

Weights control how the composite score is calculated. They live per-app, under Customize → Evaluation. Default is even-ish weighting; tune if your channel mix rewards something specific.
Default weights
hook_strength 0.18 specificity 0.16 audience_fit 0.14 distinctiveness 0.12 timing 0.10 emotional_charge 0.10 payoff 0.10 shareability 0.10
When to adjust
- B2B SaaS — increase specificity and payoff. Decrease shareability. Your audience is small and technical; depth matters more than spread.
- Consumer app — increase hook strength and shareability. Your audience scrolls fast; if the first line doesn't land, nothing else does.
- Creator / newsletter — increase distinctiveness and emotional charge. Your competitive moat is perspective.
How weights apply
They're applied client-side on the axis scores. Changing weights retroactively re-scores your historical evaluations — useful if you want to re-rank an old backlog under new priorities.
Caveat
Weights are a blunt instrument. If you find yourself tuning them constantly, you're probably overfitting to a small sample. Set once based on your app's distribution reality, leave alone for at least 30 published posts before revisiting.
